Epping Ongar Railway

A party of thirty two Old Loughtonians and guests assembled at North Weald station on 4th September 2021 for an evening outing on the Epping Ongar Railway. The trip was organised by Old Loughtonian David McAdams (previous chairman of the Epping & Ongar Volunteers Society) and our secretary Malcolm Trowbridge.

After a tour of the main workshop, we spent an enjoyable journey on the “Epping Fryer” travelling twice between North Weald and Ongar. With a fish and chip supper and ice cream served at our seats, a magician to entertain us and a bar on the train. Another first class OLA outing!
