Peter Cousens

Following message received from Peter Cousens daughters, Sal & Liz.

My Dad, Peter Cousens, was a past pupil, and strong supporter of Loughton School, for years, following your magazine and updates. He was selected to play cricket from Loughton, for Essex, as ‘a Colt’, sponsored by the Evening Times. What an opportunity for a 16 year old, whose stronger game was was hockey. He then went on to play cricket for Essex (after a 2 year national army stint) during the early 1950s.

My Dad recently sent an article, to be included in your Centurion magazine. So sadly, Dad passed away on the 20th January – a very unexpected brain tumour – but he was with us at home, in Hilton, South Africa. At 93 years old, he had a good innings.
