2024 Wreath Laying

I have listened to the Roll of Honour of the School’s fallen since I was 11 years old at Loughton school. I have attended the annual dinners many times and those names have only added gravitas and respect over the years. I have continued to understand our privileged lives and with a better understanding as a student of life.

Having the honor to be in the parade Sunday really bought those names home. The hymns played by the band so poignant. I was very nervous but I knew I could not let any of them down and that I was there to represent the respect of the total sacrifice they had made for our freedom.

Chris Tomkins – President
