Clay Pigeon Shoot
The annual Clay Pidgeon shoot was held on Thursday, 27th June, 2024, at Essex Shooting Ground, Fyfield.
After meeting at 10.30 for tea or coffee and instructions. The 22 shooters were divided into small groups.
Each shooter had 10 shots at each of five separate stands, some static some moving. So everyone had fifty shots in all.
Following the shooting Andy and Maggie Gemmill with their daughter Kate kindly offered the use of their Essex Barn which was a short drive away at Moreton.
Magpie Catering supplied a fine buffet which was washed down with copious quantities of wine.
The prize-giving was as follows:- OLA plinth (no cup as it has been mislaid!) went to Steve Crosby with 34 points. The Guest Prize went to David Coates (again) with 35 points.
The ladies prize went to Kate Gemmill with 28 points, and the prize for the most improved shooter went to Natalie Avvoltoio.
