Shooting Champion

Our Vice President, Gary Bridger has had a very successful clay shooting year.

The badge shown is for the South East Region Inter Counties Skeet Veteran Champion. This was won in early July, shooting for the Essex skeet team at Bisley, the home of shooting in England.

Other notable achievements this year (all scores out of 100):

• South East veteran champion single barrel DTL 93, also joint third overall.
• Essex veteran champion, Down the line, 98.
• Essex veteran champion Skeet 99, second overall to a very well shot, 100 straight.
• Essex skeet doubles champion, veteran champion, and winner of the Steve Todd memorial trophy, held at Clacton Gun Club. 97
• At the England skeet team selection shoot, one target away for shoot off for team place, two targets from being in the England team, shot over two weekends and 400 targets.
• Not forgetting the Old Loughtonian Association championship held at the Essex shooting school.
