Spring / Summer Buffet

Old Loughtonians and guests met on Sunday 10 May 2026 in Moreton, Essex as part of the Association’s 100 year anniversary celebration for a Spring / Summer Buffet.

Many thanks to Andrew and Maggie Gemmill for allowing us to hold the event in their Essex Barn.

Despite the cold weather outside we enjoyed a warm and sociable afternoon in the barn. Good conversation, a superb Mediterranean buffet, wine, beer, coffee and cakes.

Outside was a display of classic vehicles, unfortunately by the time the photographer ventured outside into the cold the only vehicles still there were Martin Darlington’s Morgan, Stuart Fullerton’s Porsche, and President Bill Bennet’s 50cc motor bike.

Chris Tomkins kindly donated a hamper which raised £100 for Association funds. The raffle was won by Richard Oakman who asked for a redraw, then by Paul Hough’s guest, Judith who shared the contents with her table.
