The Brass Plaque that “Says Everything, but Says Nothing

Since February 2025, The Old School Room at The Hockey Club has virtually been out of action, due to the fact that as you will see from the photo at the bottom of this statement it is now a fully equipped Gymnasium. Some fifteen months ago the hockey club appointed a new General Manager, Jack Tranter. What we didn’t know at the time as well as being the General Manager he was also the 1st Eleven’s Goalkeeper.

To cut a long story short, there will be a full explanation in the forthcoming issue of the magazine.

Your committee agreed to the Hockey Club laying a rubber floor, and using the room for Yoga/Pilates. Not a full-blown gym! Since that time, we have been able to hold one committee meeting in that room, as it cannot be cleared enough. This has lead to tension between the two organisations, which is yet to be resolved. I hope to be able to tell you more in the magazine.
